Heading out to the countryside

The departure of Billy and Dan also included the departure of the parent’s car. So it was off to Munich to pick up a rental. We were taking a train to Munich. The Salzburg train station was a nice 25 minute walk. We were so proud of ourselves, bought the tickets, found a lounge to have breakfast, and found the right platform. The train pulls up and we get on only to find out that the train splits in Salzburg and we were on the wrong train. The ticket takers was very nice and explained how to fix our mistake. It wasn’t a huge deal since there was another train heading to Munich at the next stop so we only wasted about 90 minutes. If we would have been on The Amazing Race, we would have been eliminated.

We picked up our rental with no problem and headed to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial. It was hard and very personal. If you want to know ask me. It was a sobering experience and we spent the rest of the day contemplating how people can be so evil.
