Finally made it to Germany

After a minor hiccup, we have landed in Germany. We got on the plane in Cincinnati only to spend three hours at the gate because a transponder wasn’t working. Since it was the part that lets other planes know where we are, we figured it was important. A new part was flown in from Atlanta and we were off. We landed at Charles de Gaulle in Paris thinking we had thirty minutes to make our connecting flight which would have been impossible but luck would have it that flight was delayed by an hour and a half.
We got to our gate with enough time to spare for a glass of wine, French of course. Then it was into the plane for a quick Hop(seriously that was what the plane was called) to Hannover, Germany.
Our friends, Billy and Dan picked us up from the airport for the quick trip to Billy’s hometown of Bielefeld. We had a wonderful evening meeting Billy’s parents. After a delicious meal, some bottles of wine and much laughter, it was time for a shot of apricot brandy and bedtime.
Tomorrow, it is off to explore this cute little town.
