Exploring Bielefeld

A great way to start the day is a 45 minute walk to get fresh bakery items. After a great German breakfast, we headed to the hobby market. This is a combo true farmers market and flea market.

You can get livestock and trinkets of junk. It was amazing.
We then headed to the Schloss Sparrenburg. Schloss is castle in German. Some parts of it were built in the 13th century and we think our country is old.

We took a break at Billy’s parents house before dinner. Billy’s dad owns a construction company. Walter has bought many properties in Bielefeld and restored them. The restaurant that we went to dinner is one of those buildings. It was built in 1550 and is now an Italian restaurant. The food was amazing and so was he building.

So sad to be spending our last night in Bielefeld. Billy’s parents were so amazing and made us feel so welcome.
