Rainy Day in Bamberg

It was a rainy day in Bamberg but we didn’t let that stop us from exploring the city. After a great breakfast at the hotel restaurant, it was off, umbrellas in hand.
We had no direction in mind but somehow we ended up at a Biergarten that was recommended to us. Unfortunately, it is closed on Mondays which made us sad.
No worries, I found a place that sold beers to go. I wanted to get an usie(I don’t know why you call it a selfie when there is more than one person) of Teresa and I with the beer and the church steeple but my arm wasn’t long enough so I asked Dan to take the picture. Big mistake but he did get a good picture eventually.
I finished the beer behind the cathedral. I know there is a song in there somewhere. This time, I made the mistake of asking Billy to take the picture.
Here is Teresa with both her feet and mind in the gutter.
After many steps, it was time for a drink. This time it was wine for us. I got a local Feinherb, Teresa got a trokken Dornfelder, Dan had a Pilsner and Billy had some type of apple wine. It was a good thing we stopped, it was the only time all day that it rained really hard.
Lunch was some type of bratwurst for me and schnitzel for Teresa. It was delicious.
I have to confess, I went back to the room and took a nap. The rest walked through a botanical garden that they said was beautiful, but so was my nap. 🤣. Dinner was a wonderful combination plate of local food that Teresa, Dan and I shared. It was so delicious but there was a lot of food.
Bellies full, we meandered back to the hotel for a night cap. On to Salzburg tomorrow.
